    Likely due to either replacement with a newer model or manufacturer discontinuation. For a more studio sound, I've been using the Audio Technica I don't think anyone has mentioned the Shure 55 series yet.

    I would not hesitate to use it live or in the studio for vocals. The OM2 is very similar to a 58, but a titch "clearer" on some voices. I don't know just for jams.
