Anyways, I went away feeling slightly defeated, but I did play the American Standard Tele and felt reassured that there must still be a Telecaster for me out there somewhere Just, yanno, not so expensive. Blues, classic rock, jazz, anything! Let's cheer up, we have unique Teles, made by Fender, and most don't have them. It would be interesting to see sales or lack of sales figures for the 'Dove Its pretty much just what I expected, and I love it. No hassles. Somebody used to have an ad campaign with something like They hit a solid crunchy sound that I like without needing too much gain from the amp and preserve that certain response that I like from single coils - although it could be a smidge brighter and I wouldnt complain, but that's what the EQ is for.
